DESCRIPTION: EPW - Louis Humbert, verge fusee, 60mm, silver OF original consular case marked with casemaker's incuse "D L R" within diamond shape, white enamel dial with winding aperture at 1:30, KWKS, verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, signed hinged spring loaded gilt locking dust-cap, s#4614 on dust-cap. Comes with a heavy silver chain and a pair of keys both of which are too large for this particular watch. A substantial and impressive large piece; gross weight of assembled watch 119.9 dwt (186.7 g), gross weight of chain and keys 39.2 dwt (61.0 g). CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some fine and micro-fine scratches, ultra-fine scratch striations likely from a light wiping, small spot on plate adjacent balance bridge; dial with hls near 6 and 7, light hls between 2 and 3, small flaking to rim of winding aperture; excellent hands with some spots of abrasion and finish loss; case shows very little wear, an attractive acquired patina, small scratch to upper rear and few lesser small scratches elsewhere, mild ding on edge near 6; tight bow; domed glass crystal with some scratches; chain is in good overall condition with medium wear and a mild to moderate patina, one link with soldered repair evident
